Hello, World! Life is a journey, and we all have the ability to choose, set, and change our path. My curiosity, empathy, and analytical approach to life followed me from childhood into adulthood. My time at Virginia Tech and Nashville Software School fostered these character traits and gave me a desire to utilize these traits in the professional world.
I am a firm believer that one can achieve their goals with a determined effort to work hard or better themselves every day. Thus, it is important to me that how I accomplish my goals is both fullfilling and enjoyable. My curiosity and outside-the-box thinking has found a perfect marriage with programming languages. One question inevbibiltiy leads to another as I navigagte the ever-evoling world of code.
After spending time as a commerical plumber with a small company, I joined Hiller in 2016 as a residential plumber. Working both alone and on a team, I diagnosed and resolved plumbing issues directly via general repair or installtion of a new plumbing fixture/system. This experience fostered a mechanical mindset and reinforeced empathic customer service skills.
My primary responsibility was being the first line of response for patient care on the unit. I directly and diligently assisted in all aspects of the patients’ and patients’ families experience with the hospital unit through exceptional relationship building skills. I excelled at communication with nursing staff and nurse manager; communication was vital to ensure patient safety as well as to address the needs of the unit in order to make it more successfull and efficient.
